HubSpot San Francisco is home to some of our business development, flywheel, and executive teams. We love being able to build relationships with our prospects, customers, and strategic partners on the West Coast. And, having the chance to learn from tech’s true epicenter.
We’re a small, but mighty, team with a big impact on HubSpot’s global growth. If that sounds up your valley (whoops, we mean alley), we’d love to hear from you.
HubSpot is growing rapidly, and our San Francisco team is a huge driver of that growth. A typical day involves helping customers in the Bay area grow better through HubSpot’s software, or working with local strategic partners on exciting new initiatives. But don’t worry, our global culture programing offers plenty of opportunities to unwind through mixers, book clubs, HubTalks, virtual workouts, happy hours, and more.
No matter your job title or background, HubSpot is here to set you up for success. We’re lucky to have our CEO Yamini Rangan based in San Francisco, who makes diversity, inclusion & belonging a core priority. Not to mention, HubSpot has global employee resource groups to get involved in, allyship workshops to join, and more.
HubSpot’s culture is built on transparency. It’s what fuels us to move quickly, collaborate efficiently, and share ideas freely. It also means you’re trusted to do your best work, no questions asked. Whether you’re meeting a connection for coffee, heading to a mixer, or even cycling across the Golden Gate Bridge for a workout, HubSpotters are trusted to use good judgment and have complete autonomy over their schedules. As our Culture Code says, “results matter more than when or where they're produced."
While you’re busy driving growth for HubSpot on the ground, we’ll make sure you’re always growing, too, personally and professionally. We prioritize a culture of learning from day one, which is why every HubSpotter goes through a comprehensive new hire onboarding experience. Once you’re settled into your role, there are plenty of ongoing development workshops, skills training sessions, and more. We also offer an annual tuition reimbursement and a free books program.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I lived in Hawaii for almost two years when I was a kid.
What is your role and what does an average day look like?
I'm on the Platform Partnerships team here at HubSpot, which essentially means that I work closely with our partners and potential partners that are building integrations to HubSpot, listing those integrations in our App Marketplace, and joining our App Partner Program. I work closely with our partners to help them navigate through the whole process of becoming a partner, provide them all of the help and resources they need to be successful, and look for additional opportunities that we can work on with our partners once they join our program.
My typical day consists mostly of meetings with current and potential partners, but also some internal meetings to help find and unlock additional opportunities for our App Partners. Our customers love our App Partners, so I love helping our partners build amazing integrations with HubSpot and helping our customers and partners find each other in our ecosystem.
What's one thing you love about HubSpot's company culture?
The people at HubSpot truly have HEART (Humble, Empathetic, Adaptable, Remarkable, Transparent). I have seen all of the people I have worked closely with here at HubSpot exude these qualities and it makes it an amazing place to work!
What's one thing you love about San Francisco?
San Francisco is an amazing city with so many cool things to do and great places to see, but one of my favorite parts about living in this city is all of the amazing places that are within reach in the Bay Area. With a short drive you can find yourself enjoying a glass of wine in wine country, enjoying summer/winter activities in Tahoe, or laying out at some amazing beaches in Santa Cruz.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I played roller derby on an internationally ranked all-star team for 5 years and I am a published poet.
What is your role and what does an average day look like?
I am on the HubSpot for Startups team. I spend my day searching for accelerators, incubators and venture capital funds who are good fits for our program. When I am not bringing on new partners I am meeting with current partners to see how we can work together more closely and work to understand the needs of their founders. Once I have a good understanding of those needs I work with our partners to arrange public speaking events, webinars or office hours where I can meet with our startup founder community and teach them some of the skills they will need to successfully scale their business.
What's one thing you love about HubSpot's company culture?
There are so many things I love about our culture but most recently I am really proud that HubSpot has not been shy about taking a stance in support of BLM and working to support DI&B initiatives. It feels great to work for a company that aligns with my values where I can bring my whole self to work.
What's one thing you love about San Francisco?
I love how diverse the city is, in terms of people, cultures, food, climates. There are so many new experiences to be had every day if you seek them out.
Anything else you want to add that candidates may want to know?
Being a part of HubSpot is not only rewarding but it's exciting! I feel like my opinion is valued and I have ownership in creating positive change within the organization. We all not only work for HubSpot but we work on HubSpot constantly adapting and improving and growing.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I've always been a bit of a daredevil and have the scars to prove it :)
What is your role and what does an average day look like?
The Corporate Sales team works with our largest, most strategic customers and prospects in an effort to help them Grow Better by leveraging the Hubspot platform. It's a newer team and focus for Hubspot, so we get to really help shape how we go to market and make these larger, often increasingly complex organizations successful. I think of our teams as a bit of a start-up inside of an amazing organization.
What's one thing you love about HubSpot's company culture?
We're incredibly authentic and genuine - Hubspotters bring their full self to work and it makes for open, honest and fun environment.
What's one thing you love about San Francisco?
The entrepreneurial spirit of the city. The appetite for risk, creativity and disruption is palpable and unlike any other city.
